This week’s paper is SDN in the Stratosphere: Loon’s Aerospace Mesh Network.
The paper discusses one of the core technologies behind Loon, a project that provided internet for remote areas using a balloon-based mesh network. This mesh network faced unique challenges to maintaining connectivity, like ever-changing balloon positions and weather conditions.
